DOUBLE LIFE

Do you ever feel like
your living two lives?
One where you are
strong and brave and never cry.

One where you take care
of every one
and help fix their problems
so they can live
their perfect lives
One where you are smart
and funny and sarcastic

And then there's your second life.
One no one knows about.
One where you are
weak and scared.

Where your eyes
are always red
and your pillow
stained with tears.

One where you
need people to
take care of you
or even notice you.

Where you are just
a scared and a hurt
little girl.
But no one
can ever know.

No one can know
that you cried and is hurt
because you have to be strong.
Because if your not strong ... No one will be.
